    Quebec Entitled To Equalization

    So they say.

But Quebec never signed on to the constitution, why would we be bound by it then. Lets hope this isn't a bluff by Kenny.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/legault-kenney-equalization-payments-1.5251566 'We are entitled to equalization:' Legault takes Kenney to task on referendum threats

Quebec Premier Francois Legault responded to his Alberta counterpart's plan to change the formula used to calculate equalization payments.
On Saturday Jason Kenney said his government will hold a referendum in October 2021 if it doesn't get changes to the equalization formula and permission to build oil pipelines.

A day later, Legault said Kenney is not able to change the formula on his own, despite Alberta's unhappiness about contributing large sums to the equalization program that benefits province such as Quebec.
Attending the Coalition Avenir Quebec's youth wing congress in Sherbrooke, Legault stressed that the principle of equalization is enshrined in the constitution and only Canada as a whole can change the formula.
"We are entitled to equalization, there is no question of adjusting or changing it," said Legault.

Quebec received $13.1 billion in equalization from the federal government in 2019, amounting to 11 per cent of the provincial government's revenue.
During the youth wing conference a resolution calling for Quebec to draft a plan to eventually put an end to receiving equalization payments failed, with members unable to agree on the motion's wording.
Legault said he wants the province's economy to grow enough that Quebec wouldn't have to accept payments.

Hmmm. I’d say they lose all entitlements when they oppose energy east. Get rid of Quebec

What is with the limp-dicked 2021 date? Make it 2020! And just remember, Legault is as Conservative a frog as you will ever get in provincial realm. A socialist frog would tell Kenney to **** off and bend over further.

Burn it, burn it all to the ground.

As much as some don't like Harper...at least he managed to keep the country together....

And four years of Trudeau should end it.....

The last time western separation gained a foothold I just ignored it since I thought Canada was a great country ....not so much this time....

If someone can come up with a realistic plan of departure. ....I would support it....

This is what happens when you let a part time drama teacher / groper / unethical trust fund child. .... run a country.....

If you don't care for teachers as a hail adjuster why let the same type run a country...?????

I never in my life understood how a parent or guardian could hate one child so much that they become abusive to them and sometimes destroy them. That is how I think Trudeau is treating Western Canada. There is not one ounce of empathy, not one moment of caring about Alberta and Saskatchewan’s needs in this country. Trudeau is all about Quebec and doesn’t even hide that fact. Unbelievable. I spoke to a long-time old Liberal today that originated down East and son still lives in Montreal. She couldn’t stop telling me about how cruel, ugly and disdainful her son thinks Trudeau is. Even added personal details about Trudeau that I didn’t need to know. Seems even the inner core is going to boot him to the curb.

I think once he loses his job the media will finally air lots of terrible stories about their preferred leader.

We will here from more women who “experienced it differently” and also lots of Quebec based corruption scandals.

I believe Trudeau more a symptom than the disease itself.
People want ever more free stuff paid with their own money.

Kenney better kick some ass or someone will kick his.

This group of special people will do almost anything to avoid rejoining the labor force and working with the common people again, sorry I forgot, one of those special people was never previously employed.
