That's great. However I can't help but think there is more to it.

According to ATC CP is within about 600 cars of last year while CN is off over 14,800 compared to last year, Week 30

Pretty sure most of the retired cn workers don't want to go back to work.

it is not about moving grain .
it is about dividends , share value and foreign acquisitions .

                don't be silly

thought Harper had this all fixed with the fines he never collected.

to be fair it has not hurt me personally that much this winter,
                  not like last time .
have not needed to move much .

pretty sure I will be seeding around at least one bag.
more to do with price .

local elevator says 2 wheat trains behind ,and , have all the canola they need for march.

started on a 20, 000 bly contract in north battle ford , . 1/3 done , waiting for trains.

just imagine the mess if all the lentils and peas had a home to go to.
                  instead of being carried over.

more money will not fix it. they will just buy another railroad and locomotives in the states with it.

we know Canadian winter is tough, but after 50 years of disappointment , at some point , some govt.
has to view it as , needed public service , for the economic future of the country.
and take charge at some level.

                    Relating to the last fiasco

What was it? fines of 100K to CN and 50K to CP

In some cases a single farmer could have payed these fines..... but unfortunately the value of these fines did cost many Producers this much money, and the Gov fines large corps amounts that are equivalent to pocket change to them!

"What was it?" with a question mark.

The exercise was to show how little it meant to the RRs

First I thought it was supposed to be 100K a day, then 100K a week, then a one time "token" fine that may have not ever been collected!

The $100K per day may have never been enacted or "quietly changed" to $100K per week........

Much like the article in the western producer about that farmer's malt barley and mentioned what good is the laws if no one enforces them?

                            Or no one wants to?

No fines no enforcement no changes.

But just keep building them bins while Russia kicks our ass.

Pretty sad that its an NDP Ruth Ellen Brosseau in Ottawa saying Canada’s reputation is under threat "because we can't get our shit together' in regards to the problems facing grain transportation.

Where are the conservatives that aided in this mess?
