    Canadian economic restart task force

Canada needs to immediately put together a task force of experience individuals who can establish a plan of how the nations economy gets back on its feet after Coronavirus. We need to put our differences aside and entertain any and all options. For example turf carbon tax and bill c69 indefinitely. Whatever it takes to get us back on our feet. Put politics on the shelf and the hell with the Paris agreement for now and no more global spending of any kind!! All Canadian federal govt dollars stay here to look after our own people!
Next question is names of Some individuals to sit on this task force to set direction for govt to follow. Some names that come to mind are Brett Wilson, Stephen Harper, Paul Martin, Brian Mulroney, Brad Wall, Rona Ambrose, Rex Murphy, Jean Chrétien, Chrystia Freeland, Jody Wilson-Raybould, Jane Philpott, Jim pattison, Frank McKenna, Mark Carney, Julie Di**son, Murray Edwards. Perhaps a mix of current and past political leaders and private sector individuals with strong economic background and the likes of Rex to coach the task force how to present plan to Canadians and a guy like brad wall to sell it. We need a group of people who will work together for the common good and set their petty differences and political stripes aside To save Canada from completel economic ruin!
    Let’s hear your thoughts!

You can scratch Brad Wall and Chystia Freeland off the list and maybe add Grant Devine .....

Scratch Pattison as well...he is the guy that will gouge the shit out of his customers then make a big donation ...

Grant Devine just about bankrupted Saskatchewan.

Under Devine's premiership, Saskatchewan's debt grew from $3.5 billion to $12 billion.[5] Devine governed during some of the worst droughts since the "Dirty Thirties". The price of oil and agricultural commodities collapsed. In the end, the high cost of government mortgage rate reduction policies during 19 per-cent interest rates and his agricultural rescue policies resulted in a large deficit. The year Devine came to government the provincial GDP only grew 0.6 per cent, down from 20.9 per cent growth the previous year.[6]

Grant was in charge when - Although Devine himself was never implicated in any criminal wrongdoing, 13 out of 55 Conservative MLAs and staffers were subsequently charged with expense account fraud committed during Devine's second term (1986–1991). The scheme accounted for $837,000 of defrauded government funds.[15] Of these a handful were acquitted while some served prison time.[16][17]

There is no quick turnaround from this. Millions will be unemployed even after the all clear is given. And none will have any money to spend on an economy. Government will be giving out EI checks for months to come (before transforming it into a a universal basic income check). You fooling yourself if you think any taxes are being eliminated or going down percentage-wise.

Disposable income will basically be eliminated in the population. Watch for CRA to pull out its ultra-mega microscope when looking at taxes. Start combining border information with individual income and you could easily see them start targeting those with foreign assets. Socialists will be happy when government says anything over $40k in net income is extravagant and must be surrendered for the good of the motherland.

Hey chuck please stop with the politics! Canadians do not have the time or patience for these games anymore! Please Let it go! There is not one person out there who has not made some mistakes but that doesn’t mean they haven’t learned valuable tough lessons that may in fact be valuable experience to bring to the table! If we don’t work together we will all fail.

That was the cost of bringing Sask. out of the stone age and the investment he made has payed back thousands of time over!

Devine made investments that set this province on track to take advantage of what the province was capable of producing...

No other premier had long term vision of the province since ....they all lived in his shadow...including Wall and Moe....

Devine might have mortgaged the province but his bets were on the right industries...

                              Every government succumbs to corruption...
