I think premier nut job should remind these companies that Alberta's carbon tax is actually a "social license"......... 🙈

Mission accomplished Trudeau and Notley, you are now chasing away the energy sector.....

Oh boo hoo. maybe shouldn't have been screwing all of us with stupid wages that caused prices for everything else to go retarted here and then maybe some
Sympathy would be given. They abused and used the puppets here and will only play here if they run the show.

How many things have governments done so that us farmers have it more difficult to make a living here than other places. We all mention it on this forum every single day. But we have to lower our costs etc to survive. How about you In oil?

The model of look how much were better xpandimg and booming and population increase how did that end up working in saskatchewan? Maybe if a government would have had someone that could run a calculator it would have worked for everyone other than those businesses all tied to the oil industry of which the way the model worked were the only ones ahead of the inflation. That the boom caused. The rest of us paid for those making crazy money. And there fore the reason they would castrate themselves to back the incompetent and we ll see how crooked gov that we had.

If the plan would have been a benefit to everyone I would have been all for it.

But those of you complaining about the foreigners on one hand then bragging about how smart the government was to increase population to keep
The oil scam going wow way too funny. Can't have everything both ways.

It is stupid to do things to halt the pipelines. Which are one of the causes of the slow down. But what the cry baby oil industry fails to mention is it is also more expensive to do work in minus 40
As compared to 25 above. Just like every other industry.

If you don't want to pay you fair share and at the same time collect crazy profits for
Your foreign owned companies while the rest of us pay for the boom then F off.

There's a lot of truth to your rant Horse. We can't flaunt your wealth and then have people feeling sorry for us or siding with us. When oil went over $100 a barrel, it was the time for the West to make a deal with Eastern Canada. Cheaper oil for a pipeline. I too was aghast at the "all for me" display. Harper and Wall should have put their heads together. They could have easily sold the idea to the East if they were really salesmen and had hutzpah. When will some one actually get a brain? And there were huge costs to the taxpayers while government feathered the nest of foreign oil companies. Now we are left paying the bills for the grand standing. Short-sighted twits!

Trudeau and His Weather Alarmist Minister McKenna killed Energy East and the Northern Gateway pipelines. They added a moratorium for crude tankers in Northern BC and added conditions for upstream AND downstream emissions testing for Energy East pipeline.
Lots of jobs and wealth would of been added to all regions of Canada with both of these pipelines.

Good thing Trump approved the Keystone XL that Obama was holding up or else nothing might get done approved.

If the 6 decade old Trans Mountain pipeline from Edmonton to Burnaby can’t be twinned maybe it’s time to shutdown the single line and see how BC does without their main oil supply.

Dunno but it could be rigs they dont need anymore here.
Tech changes. Safety a lot less south of the line.
Oil sure is a miracle elixir. Gets blamed for everything wrong in the world. Stay warm folks!

We met a couple of riggers (brothers) from Neevada working in Montana. They were living in their half-ton because there was no place to rent. They flew home every couple of weeks for a few days. What a life!
