Unless you guys think Tam is the health authority we should listen to.

They are rolling out new models again saying sask is going to have 400,000k cases, or 4500, or who knows.
He lost a little respect from me when he said aerosol can travel 30 meters before it settles....expelled by a sneeze, carried on a breeze or with a 50 kmph tail wind?

I hope if I ever need or have surgery that the surgical team wears masks. Not effective? Why wear them? Or do they only want to conceal their identity? I don't think anyone is claiming masks are 100% effective against spreading or getting germs.

People need to step away from the extreme edge of their absolute pro or con arguments.....before they go over their respective edge.

There has also been some restriction or directive in SK for 246 days now. Care to hazard a guess what the landscape would look like had there been none at all?
I will admit I don't know but every single senior's home in the province has had strict protocol in place for workers and visitors since March 20. It's working

That's not how that works Jazz, not the same thing at all, review your math. The polio vaccine was about the same effectivendss and look what it did. Dont be foolish and get the vaccine

I would say our govts are taking us there and nobody is asking questions and thats dangerous.

And the last time I was in an op room was the birth of my daughter. It was hotter than a pistol in there and the physician sure worked up a sweat.

Point being nothing short of a hazmat suit will prevent human transmission of a virus.

            And then there is this;

            Amazon: $91 Billion
            Walmart: $38B
            Google: $37B
            Microsoft: $33B
            Facebook: $28B
            Nike: $8B
            Apple: $8B

Thats not their profits for 2020. Thats their increase in profits over 2019.

GDR, polio was in a subset of the population. The comparison is not valid. Childhood diseases are not the same.

Use the same family of illnesses as your guide. Use the flu vaccine as a comparison. Its 60-70% effective most years and its efficacy is much lower in an older population.

Clearly with a surgery, you have a incision, and an open wound, masks are worn to prevent bacteria from getting in, and lessen the risk of infection.

                  From the article:
The CoVID-19 pandemic is about viral transmission. Surgical and cloth masks do nothing to prevent viral transmission. We should all realize by now that face masks have never been shown to prevent or protect against viral transmission. Which is exactly why they have never been recommended for use during the seasonal flu outbreak, epidemics, or previous pandemics.

If a surgeon were sick, especially with a viral infection, they would not perform surgery as they know the virus would NOT be stopped by their surgical mask.

If you can't help but believe and trust the weak retrospective observational studies and confused public health "authorities" lying to you about the benefits and completely ignoring the risks of medical masks, then you should at least reject the illogical anti-science recommendation to block only 2 of the 3 ports of entry for viral diseases. Masks only cover the mouth and nose. They do not protect the eyes.

What about the comment from Dr Hodkinson. Obviously the govt sought out his opinion and got it in spades.

                            Is he wrong?

Who knew the only way to keep warm in the winter was to wear snow boots and take viagra?

Right or wrong, he will be given the same respect as caseIH's 3rd track.
