    National post. JWR

Well there you have it folks. According to the national post JWR s focus had been on changing the way government lawyers handle Indian land claims and I assume the way other issues are handled in the courts. Basically 2 different ways of law one for Indians and one for the rest of us.
Indians would be able to negotiate in court while everyone else has to follow the rules as they are.
At last there we have it.
So let’s get this straight she complained truduea wanted negotiation to get what he wanted which was wrong and that’s not right according to her becaue the law is the law but if your an First Nation you get to negotiate the law because that s how reconciliation should work????? One side should be able to bend the rules to get what they want? Hahahaha no wonder truduea the dumbie had no idea how to handle this. He should have came out and had some balls and told the truth she wanted to change the laws to skew things for Indians even further then they are now. He would have been a hero. Instead he tried to use what she wanted in the snc case.
They’re both 2 of the same no wonder she won’t leave the party it s the only place she can be what he is. Lol. Too funny but not really!! IMO

This really is nothing new. Indians want a sovereign government just like the frogs. Around here each reserve has their own police force, OPP will not step into reserve unless requested by the band, which isn't very often.

Usual course of justice is band police determine who is perpetrator and leak it to band posse who deliver Indian justice, which is pretty much eye-for-an-eye.

A canine unit is no match at finding the suspect in the boreal bush like a truckload of pissed-off Indians loaded to the hilt like Rambo.

If as the article suggests she made changes then it is a big deal.

Trudeau let that cat out of the bag and had to stuff it back in again. Neither JWR or Trudeau are friends of Canada. Both are out for their little cabals and that's it. And at our expense.

Exactly. As smart as JWR is or thinks she is she destroyed her own political career to take down Trudeau. You could tell what her real intentions and perhaps lack of tact was with her comments on the Stanley verdict. No one in that position should have said what she did. Sometimes when you go into something with a grudge on, no matter how hard you try to hide it, it will bleed through and you make bad decisions and say bad things. It’s like a couple having a divorce.

The longer this thing with Trudeau and JWR goes on the better...

I don’t trust any of Trudeau’s leaks - won’t fall for it! BS

The election of Trudeau has been a godsend for Canada because now the country has been exposed for what it really is. A collection of balkanized areas and ideologies with interests that will never align. Atlantic Canada are hopelessly dependent on the govt for the foreseeable future. Quebec only sees Quebec and cares not one bit for the rest of the country. The Montreal Ottawa Toronto corridor see themselves as the progressive savours of the country and centralized power at all costs while the hinterland is tapped. Natives have absolutely no interest in Canada as a concept. BC is socialist green hell hole. And mashed in-between all that are a half dozen ethnic groups with allegiances outside of the country, Sihks, Chinese nationals, recent middle east immigrants. Now we know so we can plan accordingly. The country will fracture one way or another.

jazz, I agree. The country is too big to govern from a centralized power. And the US is even bigger! There are too many dynamics involved - urban/rural, population densities, the different DEMOGRAPHICS! It is not right that the urban vote has so much power considering the land mass involved. Time for a different system.

She is no hero. She got caught up in this SNC which may have been an excuse to dump her for other reasons. But she had weaken our democracy. She helped craft very over reaching assisted death legislation that even lets minors decide to die and make it much easier for the health system to give up on people. She craft laws that are police state due to intoxicated driving and search and seizure and arrest without cause. And she weakened the court system in criminal trials and land claims for indigenous peoples creating unequal justice system. All the time she was trying to push her indigenous manifesto Trudeau. he likely saved us but he is no hero either.

Wait till she tries to become Prime Minister....her father taught her well....a very militant Indian....everything whiteman’s fault. Says reserves don’t even have running water (whitemans fault).....ah no.....stop using the water treatment plants for firewood.

They might want your farm someday....we are all siting on Indian Land paying rent through the Indian Act....taxpayers dollars.....we really don’t own a pound of dirt if things get ugly.

We Might end up like South Africa....they told the whiteman to leave the keys in the tractor as they pushed them If their land...they might want to use them....

I find it hard to swallow the fact that people think she did the Conseratives a favour.....I pick Trudow this time and I can’t stand the guy....

                        Good analysis Jazz!

I've said she was a whackadoo since the original story broke. I'm happy to watch her tear the house down but she's no saint. What is most revealing about JWR is how bad a choice for AG she really was. Like most of sock boy's Cabinet she got her job because of her skin colour and her ovaries.
