Reducing the spread of infectious disease is apparently to radical and to progressive for some people. It’s the slippery slope. Pretty soon they are going to be asking you to wash your hands after you wipe your ass!
In other news, its tom Brady and the bucs over the broncos 28-10 early in the 4th quarter.

Thats funny because in all my dozens of visits to the medi clinic, children's hospital, ICU, cancer wards, emergency ward, doctors and specialists offices, none of the staff or doctors ever wore a mask during any of the visits.

so there were no infectious diseases to worry about before covid? No flu, sars, mers, hanta, west nile?

        Thats amazing.

Chuck is a sheep, he will do anything the govt or CNN tells him to do and then search for peer reviewed articles.

A surgical mask mesh is 0.3 microns. A virus is 0.1 microns. You guys can do math right or do I have to work that one out for you.

But what size are the droplets that carry a lot of the virus from a sneeze or a cough? It’s not a 100 percent prevention but it’s better than no coverage at all. But you do wash your hands? LOL

Better to follow sask government recommendations than some Russian social media hacker.

Make sure you are one of the model citizens who walk down the sidewalk, by yourself, wearing a mask. Extra points for those who where their face diapers while driving their cars, by themselves. And the true believers abide all the government mandates and use glory holes because the government is smart and knows what is good for you.

Wearing a rag by yourself indicates that person is sick to me and should be at home..

There's definitely a lot of conflicting information bombarding people about this virus.

This article from the US Library of Medicine explains aerosols and droplets sizes regarding virus transmission.

You can get bogged down quickly with eye glze, but #5 tries to explain masks and efficiency against covid-19.

                      https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7293495/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7293495/

                      My take from this is,
-surgical masks restrict virus transmission from the wearer to others.
-N95 masks restrict the wearer from inhaling the virus from others.

this may be one of the reasons why the infection rate in some Asian countries is lower, if everyone wears a mask, its filtered twice, exhaling and inhaling.

This debate reminds me of the "seat belt" dilemma. Not that you wearing a seat belt has alot of bearing on people's safety in other vehicles, but it can mean alot to the safety of other passengers in the same vehicle, and even more safety to yourself.

Everyone knows the masks aren't 100% effective, but if you choose to wear one to help mitigate your risk.... go for it.

If you are required to wear one in certain stores or public transit but refuse.... don't go there.

Who's "rights" are greater? Those who want to be protected from others or those who believe they pose no risk to others?

If you have people in your lives that Covid would likely kill, would you not take some precautions? Are some people that selfish to think that their perceived invincibility gives them the right put other people at risk. Sounds like the mentality of someone who chooses to drive drunk.

Herd immunity or effective vaccine, until then any measures taken are only prolonging the inevitable, but that isn't a license to be careless. Would some people be happier if there was a 10% death rate of Covid infected people.....that would make any measures taken seem so much more worth it.

This too shall pass, but until then.....

                                Not necessary.

I'm on the record of stating I'm sick of it already and would like to get to some semblance of normalcy.
