West of Carstairs got hail last night as did a stretch between Torrington and Linden. Loonie and golfball sizes reported, lasting at least 15 minutes, and places where the ground was white.

Shitty way to start harvest (or in this case stall it some more)

Combined swathed wheat until about 10:30. 91% relative humidity, the old Massey was beginning to grumble louder and more than me!

Its pretty late in the year for thunderstorms like this but much better than three-day rains at harvest. Except pounding hail would not be good at all. Scram storm cells🐎

Hail Insurance is good until the end of October I believe with the main companies.
