Lucky enough to finally get going on canola...

The moon has been very nice for a couple of days here too. Hopefully no rain tonight and maybe tomorrow we’ll go give some lodged and wet barley a shot.

    Good luck to ya😎

      She’s go time again tomorrow.
Everything still looks like a no1 according to my eyes.

Sampled some hand thrashed canola....untestable. Off the charts and still too green. Only cut on Sept 3. And most of the days since then have been wet and cool.

Our wheat swaths are stoopid wet(my problem)...and sprouting in them.

Someone tried standing wheat mid afternoon today...19.7....yikes.

Kinda all over. Good areas in fields that held moisture through June are good . Some areas did dry out a bit .
Peas were not real good , maybe 40 on average in area.
              Wheat is decent on average.
Canola , just starting . Hopefully make average

Overall it’s ok considering we had 5 inch’s or less of rain over the growing season

Hopefully average will cut it this year. Gonna be tough to make some money this year with average yields and poor prices.

Exactly, prices down way too far.
Net income will be down huge if prices don’t recover . Fine if you have huge yields , but that not the case in this area . And now the down grading game will start in cereals making it worse for those crops.
Some area far worse off than here though. A lot of areas will have severe sprouting .... that will kill net returns

Looks hopeless up here, wheat 23, peas 20, canola down 3 weeks off chart. Only Barley, standing 14.5!
Hot today but HUMID tomorrow dries shit! Then chances of T storms?

Ya the weather forecast looks wet again from Tuesday night on. Could be over inch if u get hit by Thunder boomer. Any cereals left out after this event will be totally buggered. Grounds getting soft for trucks and low spots a little scary if u don’t hit the hydro

I can't remember the last day we had without rain. We've done some peas, moisture and yield about the same.

Your so lucky. Moisture is higher than yield on some fields here. Lol
