"The WEF, UN, Chinese, Club of Rome, BLM…. Etc…."

Another of Tom's grocery lists of what and who is wrong in the world today? You are so understated Tom. Don't hold back on your grandiose conspiracy theories.

And the 50,000 people mostly seniors who died of covid in Canada were just another planned distraction Tom?

So Tom these are also the organizations that are responsible for the nasty spring fire season in Alberta? It was all planned by the academics and government forest resource managers?

It wouldn't have anything to do with the drought and above average temperatures?

Scientists have said expect more extreme fire conditions as human caused climate changes intensifies.

Its one of the more obvious costs of climate change.

Scott Moe says we arn't going to pretend we can achieve net zero by 2035.

“The federal government’s standards for zero-emissions electrical generation by 2035 are unrealistic and unaffordable,” Moe said in a press release. “They mean SaskPower rates would more than double and we may not have enough generation to keep the lights on. I’m not going to let that happen.”

We are going to pretend we can do it by 2050.

When an Unstoppable Force meets an immovable object.
These type of announcements will be a regular occurrence over the next few decades. Move the goal posts far enough ahead that they are someone else's problem.
I expect we all know someone who has been sitting deadlines to go on a diet or stop smoking or stop drinking etc, and every few months, kick the can down the road.
This is almost the same thing, except smoking and drinking and being overweight are actually harmful.

          As I was saying...
The North American Reliability Corporation’s (NERC) summer reliability assessment forecasts that no less than two-thirds of the United States, including most everyone living west of the Mississippi River, could experience power outages. The major problem is that dispatchable generating resources (coal, natural gas and nuclear) are retiring far too quickly and in quantities that threaten the ability to keep the lights on, as insufficient wind and solar power are being added to replace the retirements.
More from the folks who operate the grids:
In February of this year, PJM Interconnection, which manages grid operations in much of the eastern United States, warned of “increasing reliability risks…due to a potential timing mismatch between resource retirements, load growth and the pace of new generation entry.” “The amount of generation retirements appears to be more certain than the timely arrival of replacement generation resources and demand response, given that the quantity of retirements is codified in various policy objectives, while the impacts to the pace of new entry of the Inflation Reduction Act, post-pandemic supply chain issues, and other externalities are still not fully understood,” the grid operator added. In other words, politicians have not contemplated the difficulty of a fundamental transformation of the electric grid when making their policy decisions.

Imagine this past week with the AC load and regular power use and trying to charge EVs in every garage. The grid would have been a smoking ruin by now.

No AC here , and no EV , so no unnecessary load on an already way overloaded system from me
Just a super clean diesel that averages 35-37 mph and a properly designed house
But I guess my gas pool heater on a bit … darn

Our western Canadian soils were formed primarily by wildfires… the indigenous peoples feared the prairie fires more than any other force of nature…

There will always be a changing climate… drought, flooding… hot and cold… the hallmarks of our climate in western Canada.

You… CC… have been over come by a slick promotional campaign… that fails to take into account 1000’s of years of massive changing environmental conditions…expected environment change …as history repeats itself over and over…

King Jesus created an amazingly resilient planet… we are blessed to have the opportunity to work with this wonderful ecosystem!

Take a ‘Valium ‘ if you must…CC.. chill out… and have a wonderful day and weekend! King Jesus reigns!!!

                Blessings and Prayers

"Our western Canadian soils were formed primarily by wildfires…" Huh?

No they weren't Tom. Fire plays a role in the ecosystem but forming soils is not what fire does.

The grass lands soils were formed by glaciation and lake bed sediments and other sources and then very diverse plants capturing CO2 from the atmosphere and storing massive amounts carbon in their roots and above ground plant material.

Wildfires burn and release the carbon from the top growth back into the atmosphere. The opposite of what you said Tom.

And you better tell Poilievre and the CPC that they have been brainwashed and the climate has always changed and that human caused climate change is nothing to worry about because its all a hoax!

Chuck, do you have any comment on what the electrical utility operators and regulators say about renewable energy destabilizing the grid in the quotes above?
You have been asking for this Information.

CC… as usual… you provide only some of the information… unbalanced… Fire has had a huge impact on the development of our soils. Fire is A natural normal part of our wonderful creation we call planet earth!

Context is important…. Before humans stopped fires… they (FIRE) ruled the landscape particularly in drought and hot periods of our planetary history.

Stating the obvious is important… when examining Climate Charge exaggeration and deception.

                      Blessings and Prayers

                        BTW…

Electricity is a huge creator of fires…

Always has been… and will be.

Lightning fixes nitrogen from the air… the rain washes the nitrogen in to the plants and soils…

All an amazing miracle of engineering to cycle the nutrients… needed for life on planet earth!

Enjoy life CC… be thankful and be a friendly neighbor… hug your family… Bless and encourage!

                        Blessings and Prayers

We have a lot of peat moss soils around here. When I first started researching about them, I was shocked to discover that they are one to 2% ash. That takes a lot of fires over the millennia to add up to that much ash.

Tom you said "Our western Canadian soils were formed primarily by wildfires…"

Which means you think fire was the most important factor in the development of western canadian soils.

That is simply not true Tom. Fire release nutrients, but it doesn't create them. It releases carbon it doesn't create carbon.

Fire played a role in the temperate grasslands, but it didn't create soil from the parent materials or capture energy, carbon, and nutrients and store them in soil organic matter.
