It’s mighty sad that in 1974-75 we got more for durum than we get today. That’s 45 years. That year we bought a brand new Chevy half-ton for $4500, freight and taxes in. Just sayin.

Got offered today $320 on farm for wheat to go into box trade.

Little more planning needed with delivery and grades have to be certain before you deliver, no drama have protien machine.

Always premium in container market but next weeks offer will be filled quickly.

Sonot as liquid as delivering to elevator with 15 or so buyers operating.

But trader rings around need x amount if tonnes next week. Which means ship the week after, if hes short priice will rise mid next week.

Box trade not sure maybe 10 to 15 plus % of australias trade bit more than niche. Issue is actually getting enough containers. Heading to northern africa i believe.

Container trade big for you guys?

Containers I believe are a specialty or pulse thing. Becoming a bottleneck here also. Port capacity and lack of containers becoming issue I've read.

Is it converted to pork or beef at that price?

yah but that 6.50 milling wheat price still subject to discounts, a good buyer should get that price down to 6.25 after checking your unload sample.

Why the dislike for midge tolerant varieties?

                          Hmmmm,

No inverse in the wheat markets, KC HRW, Shitcago SRW or MinniWheats.

                                Entirely weather related? Maybe not?

CBOT Dec wht up A$3.33/t despite sharp lift in A$. US$ lower. Demand from Tunisia, Turkey & Sth Korea. Concerns whether Russian crops have enough snow cover to protect them from the cold. Fund buying as well with funds not as exposed to wht as they are to corn & soybns.
