Could be because polling data indicates that the people would vote against continuing the proxy war against Russia, and forced conscription.

They voted for Zelensky because he promised to end the civil war, then did the exact opposite.

The last honest elections they had was 2010. At least honest by the standards of the most corrupt country in Europe. Then Yanukoyich was overthrown by the American coup in 2014.

Not even pretending to be a democracy since then.

The only Ukrainian's still cheering for the destruction of their country and population are the armchair warrior trolls sitting safely behind their computer in a safe country like canada.
