Most of the Somali's came as refugees to Canada because of a civil war and famine. Canadians have a tradition of taking in war torn refugees.

There are many barriers to their integration.

They are not the source of many of immigrants or refugees as only a relatively small number have come from Somalia. Other African countries provide more immigrants and refugees.

There is no reason to single them out when other immigrants also face similar issues.

Many have come to work in meat packing plants in Alberta. Would you send your kids to work in a meat packing plant?

They aren't all on welfare!
