Sounds like the present government is adopting opposition ideas

Is PP perfect? No- like every other human being. At least he isn't attached to big money though

Huh? That's not true! He takes the side of big oil every time.

His lack of a serious climate change policy and failure to admit that climate change is a serious threat and based on sound credible science is in part because he is beholden to big oil and supports all their demands on reducing any regulations that might affect their bottom line.

Here is his voting record that favours big oil:

        Anti-Environmental Voting Record

Pierre Poilievre has voted against the environment and climate nearly 400 times during his 20-year career as a Member of Parliament, according to House of Commons voting records analyzed by DeSmog

DeSmog broke down that anti-environmental and climate record into the following vote categories between 2004 and 2024, the years that Poilievre has served as an MP with the Conservative Party of Canada.

The vote tallies add up to much more than 400 because many of the bills that Poilievre supported—such as Bill C-38, known as (https://thetyee.ca/Opinion/2012/05/10/Bill-C38/) the “Environmental Destruction Act”—affected several issue areas at the same time.”13 (javascript:void(0))
