They've moved away from the far left agenda. Carney's "predecessor's" era was surreal. Would Carney's haters still hate him if he was a Conservative? Doesn't seem like he's too far off.

The US is being governed by a psychopath! ....Canada by an adult! Something tells me Canada is going to get another term of him.
I bet Trump is secretly intimidated by Carney, but Trump has the "advantage" of being the POTUS.
Power isn't synonymous with intelligence and vise-versa.
I am certainly not a Trump fan Farma, certainly agree on your outlook on him. But as far as Carney what has he really done? Still hasn’t passed a budget. Promised increased trade between provinces, little has happened. Promised he was the man to deal with Trump, nothing. He has burnt a lot of jet fuel, spent a lot of money on in flight dining. Hamstrung the automobile industry with new proposed emission regulations. I guess he gas done 2 things, removed the consumer carbon tax and got temporary relief on Chinese tariffs on canola. He did sign a M(misunderstood) O(onerous)U(undertaking) with Alberta that will not deliver a new coastal pipeline but will add up to $10 of cost to the production of every barrel of oil in Alberta. Sorry Farma just not a fan but he has successfully pulled the wool over the eyes of many Canadians.

This reply is neither made to promote, defend or endorse Carney's track record.
But, he's only been leader of the Liberals since March 14 last year, only held a seat in the HoC that he won in a general election since last April 18. He's hardly had much of a chance to repair the enormous amount of damage done by Trudeau and parts of his team.

A budget must have passed last November. Whether they adhere to it or not.... we'll see.
Any vote of non-confidence in the house that triggers an election, in my opinion, will only result in another Liberal minority or slim majority, Poilievre will not beat Carney. Poilievre is past his best before date.

Western Canada may not feel like they're even on the same team as team Canada but maybe now we can at least appear willing to play the game. With Trudeau's Jackboot off the throats of some western Canadian provinces and a new leader who appears to want to unite instead of divide Canadians, maybe all of Canada can co-operate in moving this country forward to achieve the greatness nation it is so very possible of becoming.

Carney may appear to be a little too much jet-set, but there was and still is a tremendous amount of international work to be done. Broken relationships, f-ed up by Trudeau that need to be fixed. New relationships that need to be established. ALLIES needed to be consulted after the constant barrage of rhetoric and economic attacks coming from the USA. "What ifs" needing to be discussed, with the common sense of doing it behind closed doors with allies instead of showing the world the potential weakness of the NATO alliance from a simpleton's soapbox!

Regarding the relationship with what should be our most important allie and trading partner, forget the stupid "Elbows up" slogan, maybe it should be "Stand up", no one likes being bent over. And the US's claim of being bent over by Canada?... is it our fault they are one of the world's largest economies.... ON OUR DOORSTEP, and have 10X our population? Should we be more "responsible" for our national security? Absolutely! But we will never be a super power but happen to live beside one, which we accrue benefits from.

One more real positive thing was the removal of that useless inflationary compounding carbon tax.

Oh and some of the woke crap may not go away too fast, Carney has a child that falls into that lifestyle. Can't everyone just get on with it and go about their lives, don't force your lifestyle on me and I won't force mine on you. And our over taxed social system is a result of excess immigration, the supports of housing, education and healthcare weren't built for the amount of people it is now expected to support.

There has hardly been enough time to stop the slow motion wreck of a course we were on(almost feels too late) to get our bearings and change direction. Its only been a year since the abysmal Trudeau was forced out, no one who took over could do a one eighty in that short period of time, its government. Add the damage control required to deal with whats coming from south of the 49th.

Yes the Liberal’s under Mark Carney presented a budget in November with a proposed $78 billion deficit(which will be higher now as new spending has been proposed since then) but the budget implementation bill has NOT yet been passed in Parliament!

As mentioned in my post, I think any non-confidence vote will only result in another election with either another Liberal minority or a Liberal majority.
If maybe both(ahem, ALL) parties could work together at moving the country forward, ALL Canadians would be better off in the long run. I know, I know... sounds like too much to ask for and a "bridge" too far.

Moe and Smith have been praising Carney as he moves to the center right on many issues and trys to build economic resilience against Trump.

He has made a deal with China on canola and peas. Reduced immigration, international students and TF workers. Canceled the consumer carbon tax. All things that PP was yapping about and wanted.

But we know that will never be enough for the far right fringe like Grain Farmer and others who are such devoted and thorough Trump ass kissers that they can save Trump from another colonoscopy.

Problem with carney is he is a manipulative thief. Same as a large amount of his higher ranking predecessors in the liberal party and the same as the 75 to 95 year old democrats in the states. He has been lining brookfields pockets since he got into power. Should be illegal, oh, right it is.
