The hockey gods were not on Canadas side this time
way too many missed opportunities.
Canada outplayed the U.S. the majority of that game

The competition has gotten better and better. Canada still has an edge and a bigger supply of players. But I am not sure our pipeline produces the skill level and training edge that is needed now. 3 on 3 is not the way to pick a winner in a championship game.

Or, we could redirect all of the money that gets squandered on entitled rich kids who can afford to live on a ski resort, and instead devote it to educating and fostering the best engineers , doctors, scientists and tradespeople etc.
Then compete in real world industries that actually matter.

I was good at sports but I don’t try being fast until I’m in front of a pissed off mama cow, I still loose at that sometimes. But I do believe people take sports to seriously, way more in this life matters than chasing a puck or ball.

Canadas winter sporting culture revolves mainly around hockey and curling for which there are only 2 chances for a medal
Skiing is also on Canadas winter plate but not as prolific as Norway were there are dozens of medals
Norways winter sports culture revolves around all things skiing from a very young age . Much like Canada in hockey . That leaves Norway in a huge advantage to compete for many more medal chances over most nations . There is a reason they are dominant in most skiing events less the snow boarding events.
