Alberta was actively recruiting workers to move to Alberta and Smith was preparing to more than double Alberta's population to 10 million by 2050.

So why are they now blaming immigration that they supported? LOL

The "Alberta is Calling" Campaign (Later): The famous, targeted advertising campaign specifically aimed at enticing workers from Toronto and Vancouver to move to Alberta was launched in August 2022. This later campaign offered a $5,000 moving bonus to eligible tradespeople.

The problem is they run core government services on volatile resource revenues. They are poor fiscal managers who have made stupid choices again and again. And now they want to blame a relatively small number of refugees that the Federal government pays healthcare for?

Its all the federal governments fault! What a joke they are!

Its sucks to have so much oil! Cue the violins!

There is a huge difference from wanting skilled tradespeople over a 30 year period over opening the floodgates over a very short timeframe to unskilled migrants for political votes like Trudeau and Sign did to keep the liberals in power

Poor Danny the deficit is just about 10 billion and it's all the result of immigrants and refugees!

But when asked about their cost, she couldn't put a number on what refugees and immigrants cost Alberta! What a knob!

The difference between Alberta and Carney is Smith has high probability of paying it back in this generation.
Carney's budget defict seems to be a moving target and there seems to be zero chance of ever paying it back.
He can print money to spend.
And he's happy to do it.

The more he prints, the less we can buy with it.
