1. Poillievre should have been replaced but there is no one currently better in the que. His messaging is too full of negativity and that message is hard to swallow for lots of people. The "Canada is Broken" slogan is a big part of the reason they lost so much support last time right as the 51 state crap started getting real. Canadian pride took over and said we are not broken. He does a fine job as an MP and as a critique, opposition is his calling unfortunately.

2. Most people don't want to hear this but I actually think Carney could have lead the conservatives back to power but the timing was better for him in the liberal party. Remember he was appointed by Harper/Flaherty to BOC. So far his direction is pretty centre right which is where the majority of Canadians are. Even Poillievre made a couple statements about Carney a month ago that he is only pretending to be a conservative by doing conservative things....I had to laugh.

3. All of you right wing guys need to go re-read this thread and hopefully it will make sense to you and then go read it to your favorite politician, its a road map of what not to do. Same crap happens everytime with the conservatives...they get baited/outsmarted into the abortion debate by the lefties, then the next guy thinks, now is my chance to bring up other off the wall ideas and ends up making the entire political conversation go in multiple directions about issues that scare the heck out of the average Joe. The majority of the western world population has decided they are prochoice, and are not open to changing sides, we have a democratic electoral system(sort of) do the math, don't make election issues out of a losing position. Vaccines are the same. Doesn't matter what you or I believe, they are battles you are gonna lose the election over.

“Potential for life starts at conception”. I would argue life potential starts before conception. As an example, crystal meth in an addicts system can be carried through the sperm or the egg and affect the resulting life as I am sure fentanyl could as well. When women are born they have all the eggs they will have for life. Certainly the timing of the addiction and conception would come in to play. I am curious though, for you progressives that believe in sexual fluidity, if I wake up tomorrow and decide to identify as a women will these eggs magically appear inside of me?
