Truth be told Chamberlain took one for the team. He was terminal and hadn’t long to live. England and its allies required time to get ready and sway public opinion in favour of defending themselves against another German threat. What was USA doing at the time? Sweet f all. In fact German agents were disseminating pro german propaganda upon the American population and many pro German sympathizers existed in the government and society. Sound a bit familiar. We locked enough of them up during both wars.

you are nearly as bad as forage , an expert long after the event , back then chamberlain likely wanted the more peaceful less casualty's option , how could he have known the way the war would go in late 30s ?

Maybe you should read what this Republican congressman said about Trumps treatment of Ukraine. Trump would sell out all of Europe if he thought he could profit from it. How naive can you get?
