    Simple economics.
We can't afford to borrow any more money for green dreams.
    No more subsidized pipelines?

No, just get out of the way and let the private sector do what they wanted to do all along.

That never should have reached that point in the first place.

        1) Compared to the number of green projects supported by companies in the market with cash that were strangled in part by years if regulatory pushback?

        2) Would you support another American company subsidizing a pipeline with their cash to run from 'Berta to the PNW? Would First Nations support that as it bypasses their "land" altogether?

That should say bypasses their grift altogether.

Edit, which is an even bigger impediment.

Trans mountain was dumped by private equity.

Do you remember all of the interference that preceded that?

How do Agstar and Chuck only see what they want to see regarding TransMountain?
After 12 YEARS the private investors threw up their hands. The govt had played FAFO until they had to pay up.
                  That is fact.
It is federal responsibility to ensure availability of inter provincial corridors. Which they still today have avoided miserably. Playing the provinces and Natives all against each other to take the heat off themselves. Once again, Ottawa-QC precedence rules the rest.
If the govt showed half the responsibility to it's citizens as Kinder Morgan did to it's shareholders, wouldn't it be a different world.

Unless, the truth is the pipeline was never going to make money and they support buying it anyway??
                    Which is it?
Maybe they believe it was bought strictly as a gift for Alberta??
I'm open to anything that resembles logic. Otherwise.......

Once the Trudeau government got rolling on wanting to be the envy of the woke world Kinder-Morgan moved on.
As did most the industrial opportunities since then.
Not much appears to have changed so far.
Carney seems to want to get some investment wherever he can but he's got his own woke, green agenda baggage that investors don't want or need to get involved in.
