But you still think that he didn't invest in the oil industry? LOL

Let the oil indsutry build their own pipelines.

But maybe they should clean up their mess first instead of passing the bill onto taxpayers?

What do you think of that accountability Hamloc? Private profits paid for with public subsidies!

    Its the Alberta UCP way!

Absolutely agree, let the oil industry build pipelines.

But our gift from Treudau that cost the taxpayers probably $54 billion proved to pipeline companies that Canada is the last place in the world they want to build pipelines.

They all moved their investment dollars to more reasonable locations.

One pipeline executive was on last week saying they completed a pipeline in Mexico under budget and ahead of schedule.

We compete with the whole world and have put ourselves in a very bad place.

Our economic indicators clearly show it.

Yes let them build pipelines and clean up their mess, pay for climate change damage, environmental damage and air pollution!

And then lets see what the true cost of fossil fuels are relative other cleaner alternatives.

Of course they don't even want to pay for the very basic cleaning up after oil wells let alone take any other responsibilities!

          They don't pay anything, Chuck.

They took their Capex budget and left.
They might have had a line up at border, as that seems to be the popular choice.
          There is always a choice.
Just like in the good old days when your socialist buddy's were running the province and we got suitcases for grad.

Only fools and think that oil companies shouldn't reclaim farm land used for oil production.

The oil well liability in Alberta is in the hundreds of billions. And successive governments have done little to ensure reclamation is paid for by oil companies and not taxpayers.

Almost every oil well has corrodible surface casing that goes through aquifers that provide water to many farms, towns and cities.

If they are not properly abandoned, reclaimed and sealed off, the chance that hydrocarbons will pollute these aquifers is significant.

What is the value of that polluted water?
