Speaking of oil wealth, did you see that headline that Imperial Oil is moving their head office out of Calgary to the US?
Made the headlines I guess because they are such a long time iconic Canadan name.
They used to sponsor Hockey Night in Canada.
Why would they leave when Mr Carney just set up the office in Calgary to attract more investment?
Why go to the US when they have that crazy Trump screwing everything up down there?

I guess a lot of businesses are giving up on Canada as good place to invest.
Even Carney moved the Brookfield head office to NYC just before the elbows up got him installed as PM.

Since the original problem is that Canadians quit having children and we have a demographic collapse.
Then we call created a housing crisis and an affordability crisis and now Canadians can't afford to have a family if they can't even afford a home.

So maybe the solution is to give a house to any citizens if they have enough children.
Or free education, or tax-free for the rest of their life.
Or only give cushy government jobs with generous pensions and benefits to parents who have already raised x number of children.

Yup I am a land owning farmer with lots of acres from which I sell my production into the free market which clearly operates in the capitalist system.

Yup they were stolen by the government of Canada and now governments on our behalf are paying compensation, settling land claims and making sure First Nations get a share and a say in resource development on treaty lands.

But we still hold title to our land under law. This is a shared responsibility.

And Truth and Reconciliation along with acknowledging the treaties that were signed and often broken is part of reconciliation.
