Do you have enough bullets to shoot them all? Do you have enough prisons to lock them up ? The U.S. has the most locked up but has their crime dropped?

if people in power knew the answer to stop crime ,i certainly don't they would have done it , but letting repeat offenders of violent crime back on the streets is definitely not the answer , guns are just the tool , the killers are the people that pull the trigger

Interesting that of the 47000 gun death U.S. 2023, 58 % were suicides. Crime was 38% , 3 % accidental. Of course that is acceptable so they can protect the second amendment.

so people that took the very sad choice of suicide would be still alive if their was no guns ? i somehow think they would have found another way

I approach that problem from a different perspective.

Perhaps both countries could do a better job of addressing the underlying mental health crisis. Instead of banning the tools people use when they can't see any other option.

Imagine if all the money wasted on climate change propaganda and scaring school kids that they have no future because of global warming, had been spent on mental health care instead.

If all the money wasted on government boondoggles had have instead been left in the private sector where they could create job and business opportunities, people wouldn't feel economically hopeless.

If not for the high taxes and inflationary fiscal policies that made the cost of living prohibitive, how many more young people could have afforded their own home and to have families and the fulfillment that comes from that.

Or we could blame the guns. And after they are banned we can blame carbon monoxide, drugs, alcohol, knives, trains and semi trucks etc.

That may have some truth, but are we a better safer society with more guns? Mental health has never been a priority and would you have freed umbers crying about their rights. Would you force people to be evaluated? You heard all the screaming from them about vaccination.

From what i see sadly Canada has a higher overall rate per 100,000than the US ,if thats the case it makes your gun argument irrelevant aggy
and its the far left that would be failing the test you suggested so we would be fine with it

I'm not sure what a freed umber is. I don't know what an indentured umber is either for that matter.

Interesting how two people from opposite ends of the libertarian scale draw completely different conclusions.

I suggest we don't scare school children into thinking their future is hopeless. I suggest we provide real economic growth so adults don't feel hopeless. I suggest we provide resources for those who need them.

And you suggest forcing people to be reindoctrinated against their will as a solution to a mental health crisis.
Reminds me of the way Soviet Union would reeducate people didn't think the right way.

Very telling. That is why I keep coming back to this site to interact with people of all political persuasions.
