Where does reason start or end?
When is it unreasonable?
Can it exist without critical thought?
Would Kirk have been anybody had his audience or himself had any?
This thread just another example of how reason can be manipulated.
How does ideology and zealotry become good or evil based on an adjective attached to it.

Unfortunately you can have all the critical thought in the world, but when common ground no longer exists the result is what we've presently got politically, socially, and what we have going on in this thread.

Divisiveness currently rules, and is favourite weapon in use by those wanting to get the results they want by taking full advantage of every form of medium.

Who knows what's altered or real any more, just as long as it contains the content they want to read, hear, or see.

The phrase "Fake News'' is used constantly, it's only real if I believe it or is to my advantage.

Never heard of Kirk before his murder, I guess I lucked out on the critical thought on that one.

Trump has set a precedent with hate and lies that is spreading.

He encouraged extremists in first term and it is only getting worse.

By pardoning the convicted January 6th insurrectionists who committed political violence on the capitol, he sent a message to MAGA and every wing nut that anything goes.

Kirk was just another MAGA enabler who took it further.

As I said before the far right is very selective in their empathy.

Where was Trump's and MAGA's outrage when Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband were assassinated?

Why was this not a high profile national tragedy? We know why!

Trump and many of you expressed no empathy or concern about Melissa Hortman when she was murdered.

Instead we get a huge response when Charlie Kirk an almost unkown in Canada is murdered?

Perhaps your moralizing lecture would hold an iota of credibility if you had ever, even once called out the hyper partisan Chuck for his divisiveness. Or acknowledged when other posters make a valid argument.
