    North Carolina had areas with no power for weeks after the Hurricane damage last fall.

    Cash or barter only.
    Everyone should do 20 minutes research on what actually barters well .

    Mallie explains it well in the OP.

    I know an older guy who only got a card so he could get hotel rms.
    Carried scary amounts of big bills in his wallet with more at home.

        I had an old hay buyer/trucker who only dealt with cash. I think he carried more cash than his hay truck was worth.

                my understanding is that the long term plan is a worldwide digital currency , and digital ID , they likely will orchestrate a big crash to roll it out , people must do everything possible to keep cash
