There's a lot of Truth to that. With many things in life. Thinking back to the statistical analysis of bullet holes in airplanes during world war II. When they drew all the wrong conclusions because they were only analyzing the planes that made it back, not the ones that crashed because of bullet holes.

A thought that has crossed my mind, what if all of the children who were genetically predisposed, and would have died of these childhood diseases in the era prior to vaccines, are now living much longer, but perhaps those same genetic conditions are what caused them to develop autism or autoimmune diseases?

Survival of the fittest might be cruel, but it got our species this far successfully. Attempting to circumvent that highly successful mechanism will inevitably have unintended consequences.
The moral implications of that would be profound.

Recently scurvy has been showing up in Northern Saskatchewan.
The disease or deficiency that got the British the name Limeys.
Unimaginable that people could chose such a poor diet with our huge availability of variety on the shelves today.

I see some of the Agrislly regulars are squirming mightily again!

Now Trump and Republicans are going to challenge the agribusiness corporate world?

Some of what RFK says is true. The food giants are making and marketing crap food that is not healthy.

But its hard to believe that Republicans who have been big supporters of agribusiness seed and chemical companies and the industrial food system are suddenly going to turn on them.

So how many think Trump's pick of RFK is a good one?

Look at the list of what he says below:

Trump promised him “control of the public health agencies,” which he said included the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Food and Drug Administration and National Institutes of Health. “And then also the USDA,” Kennedy continued, “which, you know, is key to making America healthy because we’ve got to get off of seed oils and we’ve got to get off of pesticide-intensive agriculture.”

Banning pesticides — not to mention food additives, seed oils or ultra-processed foods, as Kennedy has also advocated would completely upend the existing U.S. food system. And if Trump truly lets Kennedy “go wild” on food and health, as he promised in remarks at a recent campaign rally it would represent a 180 degree reversal from the agriculture agenda during his first term, which included rolling back pesticide restrictions and other food-related regulations."?
