Ritz handed our grain industry to the oligopoly that keeps shrinking! Way to go dumbass!

And the cattle industry has been accused and is guilty of price fixing and manipulation for decades too.

But you still naively believe in marketing freedom? LOL

There you go again name calling. I don’t agree with supply management neither but who other than the ppc wants it gone? Good attempt on your part of creating a straw man argument though. So by what you are saying you are against supply management? Cool!

I wonder if his NFU masters know that Chuck is out bashing SM on the internet?
I just checked, and as expected, the NFU defends supply management, because apparently it is good for consumers? Figure that one out...

Or is this just an extension of his contempt for any successful farmer/business?

Where I live in Central Alberta I have 7 different grain elevator companies in my area, the farthest one is just over 1 hour away. I consider myself very fortunate. Before the demise of the CWB the only choice you had was looking at the handling charges of each elevator where there was slight differences. I am astonished that Chuck2 still believes farmers were farther ahead with the CWB. So if we look at his outlook we went from a government directed monopoly to what he describes as an oligopoly today. If he was referring to the fertilizer industry as an oligopoly I would agree 100%. Definitely not enough competition there. As far as the elimination of the CWB, I am thankful everyday.

I dance on it's grave every day.
Every time CC brings this up it completely discredits everything else he says. All of his posts are dung when seen through that lens.

It is good to see that not all the FFJU have retired or past.

Likewise for Friends of the cwb. Most hauled at least one load with a team.

We'd have to wait longer than that to hear any ideas on how else it could've been accomplished.

Any time my super elderly uncle whom was a cwb supporter and quit farming decades before I was born would entertain me with stories about sleighing grain and timber through the hills I gained appreciation for the bull work they did and the screwing they got but realized it was a completely different time. Much like how gay people or natives got their asses beaten for who they were. Times change.

Of course. But just imagine what it would have looked like ??had it been shut down after the war as it should have been.
