Did some fresh Walleye last week from a trip up by Cree lake
no batter or spicy stuff , just a bit of butter and lemon pepper on BBQ .

Jack fish northern pike is just as good but a little more carry on for cleaning them up.

Harvest meals are the best! Cabbage rolls, perogies, roast beef, home made coleslaw, cherry pie.

Walleye fresh fileted.washed fillet in cold water till totally rinsed before bagging.Fillet in milk then fish crisp and lemon pepper.Cast iron pan with peanut oil to get a hotter cook.

Fried a lot of fish over a small fire and a cast iron pan much like that.
Hold the salad.
Can't buy that.

Except for the annoying smoke detector I’ve found cooking most meats in a cast iron frying pan far tastier than cooking on a barbecue, especially steaks.

Usually we cook up cut up potatoes put in tinfoil and cook on table top BBQ Maybe some carrots and onions with the potatoes.But traditional shoreline lunch walleye and beans.

Leftover potatoes and carrots the next morning with eggs on top are the bomb when camping.
