..that's not exactly the argument, it would be more like we have set up a system where there's an abundance of research money for studies that confirm a certain line of thinking and that in turn develops more research money only for studies that confirm a certain line of thinking. This is similar but not the same as pharmaceutical companies funding research that only confirms a desired outcome.....hope this helps
