So wasting non renewable fossil energy is a good thing even when considering climate change?

I dislike waste almost as much as you disdain wealth.
Guilt over the wealth I have is illogical. Attempts at making all people equal would be wasteful.

Chuck, your communist side is showing through again.

Remember the watermelon analogy, you are supposed keep the green on the outside, not expose the red.

So a small village on the edge of the arctic ocean would be considered among the worst polluters but in fact are totally insignificant.
But in a low income per capita city like Singapore they are low emmiters but highly significant.

You dodge around how much we sink.

          Why?

Just a small example of how stupid we are when it comes to wasting resources.

We got very use to low cost energy so we designed an inneficient unsustainable system around it.
But aren't you the guy who keeps telling us that unreliable energy is the cheapest energy source?
If that were actually true, wouldn't that motivate us to be even more inefficient?

Or are you quietly acknowledging that fossil fuel energy is by far the cheapest source, and that unreliable energy will be much more expensive. Which will force consumers and industries to ration their energy use.

You can't have it both ways.

Lazards LCOE shows that renewables are the lowest cost source for new generation. And that's before we factor in all the external costs of fossil fuels and climate change.

You do realize your on an agricultural forum!? I think there are very few of us that drive to town for breakfast. As usual your statements aren’t even close to reality. Most people lined up at Tim Hortons are on there way to work in town.

Huh? Did you do a study or what? So city folks never go to Timmies!

And they don't know how to make coffee and breakfast at home?

I believe that was my point Chuck2. Most people at Tim’s are city folk grabbing a coffee not farmers going for breakfast. You really need to learn how to read.

Can't we get some kind of law against that?

Maybe bring that up at your next NFU board meeting and get them lobbying?

Have to all do our part cutting CO2.
