China sees the EV mandates as an opportunity to take control of the world auto market.
They have knock offs of all the more popular EV's in production all ready to move into world markets at much reduced prices.
They just need a little more control in our political system to get favorable access.

EV mandates will destroy much of the North American auto industry and they are starting to see it coming.

Killing the pickup truck market will speed that along.

On the CBC: “Federal government scales back carbon tax rebates for small business.” Raise the carbon tax April 1 by another 23% and cut back rebates to business, increase rebates to consumers. Altho, corruption has skewed actual numbers.
Air quality there unimaginable to us. Everyone should visit to get a dose of reality. The whole planet is likely not on their radar except politically.
