So what's the name of that bird you always hear just before a rain. Swooping in the air hoo- hooing, can't see em.

Watch for black knot. Lost all mine.

Woopers must be having some good breeding seasons .

My sometimes resident expert worked on whooper restoration for 4 or 5 yrs in Nebraska and Saskatchewan.

When she is here we don't need the bird app.????
Coronation almost guarantees Sandhills. Thousands of them go over in a path there at a time. You can see them on weather radars. This time of year they take out power because they touch power lines when they take off.

Whooping Crane migration is mostly over eastern and central Sask I believe.

Hoo Hoos are usually the Collared Doves.

Thanks. Thought something similar to a pigeon.

We live in a tropical jungle here. Our closest neighbors have some very exotic sounding birds. If anyone wants to confuse their app, come and try it out here.

Yes we lost one to black knot but make sure we catch it early and burn it now.

Bad day for the fires here yesterday.
Doing serious damage up at Narrow Hills Park.
Lot of that burnt over in the late 70's under similar conditions if I recall.
Have had no help from mother nature.
Really had the chimney going yesterday.
Multiple locations firing up that it had ran over.
So far we have had very little for smoke.
That would normally be our prevailing wind out the NW

Sandhills are the ribeye of the sky, that’s the only bird I’ve eaten medium rare.

Lots of sandhill cranes here. They must be lost since we don't have any sand hills.
My Jamaican friend had never seen them before and called me quite alarmed one day because there were giant ostriches out in my field. Still claims they were big enough to ride.
