last nights storm SW of Battleford, lightning hit a gas line in a wheat field …

Sask energy had to dig up a hole to pinch off the line
Today another crew my buddy on had to replace a fair amount of gas line where it hit

Looks like one of very few nice days ahead
forecast is bleak for harvest next 14 days

This was from Wednesday late afternoon when we were able to combine
shows our soil is full , but we are not nearly as wet as other huge areas in Sask . Rained yesterday morning again, and showers this morning

Hopefully a good stretch of weather now , it’s desperately needed everywhere

It's the gift that keeps on giving. For years to come. At the end of August we had a farm wide hail storm. That's the third time in 6 years that we've had widespread hail just before harvest.

Solid carpet of barley growing now.

On a positive note, doesn't take much of a truck to keep up when it's 90% hailed out.
