Was definitely nice lake weather last week
The cool down now was a needed reprieve for crops here

Furrow, that spot looks just like our spot on Echo Lake. Even has a point just north of the cottage. You are in the cove created by the point?

Just some friends at Jackfish lake , Metinota on south side, that is Toby’s point
Summer is going fast , sun sets mid June far north of that point
crops better hurry in late areas

The weather can change on a dime in Saskatchewan they say - It’s only 4 degrees in Regina with all the black pavement, must be darn close to zero in the Wascana Flats after weeks of blistering heat. Almost exact replay of 1986, I believe ( 40 years ago ).

Looks like fall around here lately. Forest tent caterpillars so thick the roads are almost black.

As an update to the caterpillar situation. The leaves did in fact grow back.

But too late for fruit and Berry trees. Apparently some U-picks lost their entire season

A guy I know from South of Battleford
caught way up north today , not exactly sure where
supposed 50 inch pike
my guess over 35 lbs for sure

Amazing that he got that big sucker in without the line, rod or reel breaking.
