Spring is here again. Although it has been colder the past few days than it was for much of the winter.

I've known people killed by falling.
Amputations of fingers, same.
I've seen them self ratchet all the way down, you don't want to be near that handle.
Absolute last resort and treated like nitro.

Earlier this winter we were discussing chinook's. And I commented that we rarely get strong enough Chinooks to lose all of our snow.
Well, this winter we've lost all of our snow multiple times.
I never did plow any snow all winter. Except for a neighbor whose driveway was blown in.
I've never seen a spring runoff that didn't refill every dugout and slough.Comment

How did you convince your herd to calve within 2 weeks? With a 21 day cycle and give or take a couple of weeks on either end of that for the early and the lare.Comment
