I have been referring to electric vehicles as being coal powered.

As it turns out, many are actually diesel powered instead.

That seems like a big improvement in the quest to save the world from plant food.

Chuck is the ultimate hypocrite on this topic. His answer to this is always hydro. Yet the NFU of which he is or was among the executive, and where he gets all of his talking points, has been fighting against hydro dams for years.
So hydro is the only solution they offer, and they will fight that tooth and nail.

And why the denial/acceptance of the right to self determination?
Over a century of one sided trade and recognition. A century of failed Senate reform discussions. 2 PMs over last 50 years speaking of us with open disdain.
If only we could be more like Quebec.

I support more hydro power where it is feasible and makes sense. And also more wind and solar PV to reduce emissions all backed up when needed. gas can be used for backup. Coal is done in Canada.

Its going to take longer than 2035. Especially if the " free market" conservatives change their stripes and pick winners and losers instead of letting the market decide in Alberta.

Saskatchewan and Alberta say net zero by 2050. Only 15 years different than the feds.
