My Dad wasn't particularly religious, but we had a completely useless neighboring farmer who was very devout.
He regularly borrowed Dad's equipment, usually brought it back broken, his wife worked, while he did very little( but had all the answers), neighbors helped him with everything, but it wasn't reciprocated.

And that is exactly what Dad had to say about this neighbor.

Yeah I’ve experienced the exact same thing. Definitely not religious in any way shape or form. Try to tolerate the pious even though I have my doubts about it. Try to act like a good Christian without being one.

Prayers
If our prayers wrong, God answers NO;
If our prayer’s timing is wrong, God says Slow;
If our prayers are short sighted, God says Grow;
If our prayers are right, God says Go.

Serving others cheerfully,
Respecting the Creator of the Universe faithfully,
Loving our Neighbors Peacefully,
With Kindness, Love, and Joyfully !

Thx for reminding me to be : humble, forgiving, charitable, and put all my trust in the Great King Jesus, the Creator and completer of all that exists in our Universe.

I am far from perfect, a sinner as you correctly point out. My good works are as filthy rags. Yet through the Love and Miracle of the Resurrection of the Great King Jesus… who I trust as my Advocate and Saviour… I will thank God for the wonderful Sun rise this morning, and each breath I take… and blessings of the continuing beating of my heart.

He who: Was, is, and always will be… Loves every single human… and paid the ultimate price on the Cross of Calvary… finishing and completing the : Grace, Mercy, and Salvation of all who are humble enough to realize their absolute need for the Great King Jesus… to provide , protect, and perfect their minds, hearts, and souls. All praise to God, from whom all good things flow!!!!
