I am always VERY skeptical when the federal government gets involved in saying how parents should parent. Have we forgotten about residential schools? The 60's scoop? Off reserve Child & Family services?

The system saw us as savages who couldn't/can't parent.

We should be looking at these issues on a case by case basis. Trying to write a policy that impacts all parents/families in a province is absolutely ridiculous.

Just bumping this up, since apparently Chuck missed it.
What do you think about what Melissa Mbarki, an indigenous woman, has to say, comparing the government knows better than parents mantra about gender, to the residential schools, when government knew better than parents? Is it different this time?

If there was the will there is enough capital kicking around in oil companies, banks, investors to overthrow this corrupt regime. The world is watching and in our travels we have heard rumblings abroad about the Canadian situation. Articles appear in Australia, Britain, US, media that describes the incredible over-reach that Canadians are feeling. People are starting their own schools, meetings are being held, people I know are attending. Many are getting involved, there is no end to the tyranny, it appears.

They prioritize the health and well being of the mother, whereas you could care less if the mother dies as long as the fetus is not harmed even if it is not viable.
