        On edge here today to see what happens when this cold front blows thru. 36 Celsius yesterday, some cereals could be swathed but rain in the forecast for three days now. Straight cut is a week away. Anxiety building.....

          We have had copious amounts of hail in August in previous years. Severe thunderstorms later today.... Ugh.

                Biggest loss of crop/roofs to hail on our farm was Aug 23, 1983. Swathed canola went from 30 to 8 bu/ac. Swathed wheat lost 10 bu, standing wheat lost 20 bu. And inches of rain, mud and a fight for it.
