    The vote splitting didn't seem to hurt Flaman who only spent like $1600 came in late and still won.

        There is no vote splitting with a preferential ballot. The Winner has to achieve 50.1% to win.

        Not 30% like in federal or provincial elections.

            would think Mr's Ritz and Anderson will want their donations back seeing the candidates did not win.
