Mornings are for moving grain, hauling grain to town, filling combines, fixing, eating, and then at one o'clock we start harvesting. Usually by nine in wheat, we gotta shut her down. That's harvest 2026.

Harvesting westking wheat , easy thresh ,zero lodging , zero sawfly.good sample and yield, little bit of shelling. Its a shorter variety which is great for straight cut.Hearing good things about other new varities also. Our wheat breeding program has been very beneficial IMHO.

Finishing up our wheat tonight, oddly only testing 13.9% compared to our earlier wheat that ranged from 14.0 to 16.5%. Still have 2 quarters of swathed oats left and about 1000 acres of canola. Hoping the oats will be dry enough to take off before Friday, the canola is all standing so no worries yet.
