No worries, Pattison has 268 X9's listed yet, plenty to get crop in....

Wonder how auction prices will turn out?

Been here to many times it gets old. EACH YEAR IS UNIQUE but this one was a pain in the ass since the spring snow. The day I blew that motor was the kiss of the year. Grain dryer has not stopped for a couple weeks but have added now almost 50000 bus wet before dryer system.

Got the Lentils, Durum and Flax all off before the rain. At the 80% mark and half way through the Canola. Got away with very little desication this year, canola unsprayed was goin through like butter. Was amazed how the bone dry ground soaked up 6 inches of rain in a week, but its got to be reaching its carrying capacity after a big 1.3 inch soaker on Monday and its raining again as I type. Hearing HVK in left out cereals had fallen to 20 before Mondays rain. With constant soaking quality is going to really suffer. Neighbours swaths are beginning to grow from the bottom up, glad ours never left the shed. Farmers really getting wacked this year. 1st sky high fert in spring, now rank high fuel, quality loss and flat on the ground cereals and canary. Any lentils still out and there is some, forget it. Neighbours chickpeas looked ripe a month ago are still standing but how much more of this can they take, I do not know.

                  Wild year so far.

Another chilly night, -2 in Red Deer this morning at 7 am. Weather forecast if it is correct looks like it will give us a window to finally start harvest 26 in a couple days. Certainly hope it is right.
