That's crazy. Down here they are trucking it out and cant keep up. If harvest delays continue . every elevator should be empty considering what they need out west. Infrastructure and war spending in Ukraine , meanwhile our opportunities to become more world class exporter is lost.

Just been near zero harvest for 10 days
and what’s come off the past 7 days is going straight to on farm driers for the most part other than a bit 1 or 2 days
Elevators won’t take 19-20 moisture wheat or 14-15 moisture canola which is perfectly understandable

they are taking canola under 12 and wheat under 17 but nothing much even close the past 10 days

God forbid if elevators could afford a dryer and make better use of it volume wise between actual and paper drying . Instead another download of costs to the farmer.

Another storm yesterday. Fourth hail storm on our crops this year. Was fairly lucky, only hit one field. Still waiting to start combining.

They are mature enough to take the lite frost that’s going to happen Sunday for sure unless we hit -5 ish
yes the leaves will get hit , but cobs will still fill
Yes will look brown from road by Tuesday but valuable tonnage won’t be effected if not below -5
Best in this area of dryland in my 25 years
                Time will tell on tonnage

The tall corn has average 1 decent cob with near zero second cobs
the second picture has full 1st and second cobs .
Don’t judge the size .. till the chopper comes in
its extremely important to have good mature cobs

It’s mature full cobs that make tonnage, not crop hight
