Carried over a few bins of beautiful hrsw from last year. Might come in handy after this massive rain event. Guys here have moved from canola to wheat to try and save some quality.

Finally had a moisture event last weekend. By far the biggest since early July. 0.6 inch at home, much more slightly west and north. Unfortunately, a lot of that moisture was hail. So close to the finish line, again. 3rd time in 6 years that we have had a nearly farm wide hailstorm just before harvest.

Other than that, cereals are getting close to being ready. Will try after this rain event is over.

Canola still has some flowers in areas that were drowned out in June. Quite green in most places.

Haven't seen any harvest happening this far west yet.

All hands on deck here today in Canola, hoping the rain is soft, not hard white rain.

3 inches this morning so far and still raining. We will be down for week or more after this system passes.I am starting to believe our climate is changing from normal weather to severe events. It’s either feast or famine, nothing normal anymore. Can’t remember in my 45 years farming getting this much rain in september.

Mud is a dud! What a miserable September. 3 inches in the last 10 days including today. Calling for 2-3 inches tomorrow.

If old enough...1968 was ZERO combining in September, till mid October

                1974 was HORRIBLE plus COLD/frost

1986 rained for weeks, every bushel dried

Go 2010, 20-30" summer, DUD all year

                Everything has happened before

Currently up to about 1400 ac yield assessed at zippo. Sprayed some fields out yesterday. Will be adding more acres

Looking like will combine a combined total of 600 out of 3000 odd acres.

                  Wild year.
Sturgeon county/ smoky lake county/ thorhild county absolutely underwater.

No worries. Just want to get in there to disc it all under.
