Thats a big kitty. Lentils are off, glad I dont have to look at those fields anymore....ugly. On early May sown durum now, stand looked good but kernels shrunk will make a borderline 2 im told but later stuff or stuff on lighter land is gonna be ugly due to shrinks and poor weight. Canola early sown stands look 50 plus but closer up lots of aborted and tiny seeds, seeding date huge factor this year. Late not so great. Flax will be ready next week, burned up way to soon.

Well silaging done, we finished hauling home high moisture oat bales to day. Will start pre-harvesting wheat next week. Neighbour is on his second day of barley harvest. 52.5 lb. bushel. Straight cutting, no pre-harvest, 13.7 moisture. Hauling right to elevator. Hot weather is advancing crops quickly but certainly taking some yield.

I find my losses are better when the straw is on the green side. The green stocks go out the rotor, when straw is dry get so much MOG on the seives its difficult to separate. But maybe you run a deere. Around here if its 10 or less we combine because before we know it its 6%.Originally posted by bucket View PostCanola seed is ready. Canola straw is not.
