Definitely minimal on that field but … hail insurance was going to give us SFA there cause they never seen broken stems and heads . Good lord DYODD , do not let them insurance guys get away with SFA .
that is definitely minor but *** off it’s zero
And that’s minimal compared to some of the wipeouts in area they want to differ ffs
Chuck constantly brings up the crop insurance “subsidies” we get , they are even worse to deal with, but hey we get totally subsidized, fukin idiot

Regarding hail insurance on our municipal this year we went from 5 to 10% deductible. It was quite a bit cheaper. To be honest I'm not worried about the small storms, its the big events that I need cover for . If I don't see many breaks from the truck there probably isn't 10% damage unless it was ripe and prone to shelling

Interesting to watch the canola compensate for having no bottom leaves. Because of the dry then extreme wet conditions, canola never did cabbage out like usual. Just spindly sickly bottom leaves before bolting. Now that conditions are ideal, it seems to be making up for those missing lower leaves by making big upper leaves. Right up to the top of the canopy.
Invigor, that is. DeKalb just gave up.Last edited by AlbertaFarmer5; Jul 28, 2026, 14:30.

Let them tell you their number first. You pay the premium.
I always call.
They're trained in their own way.
Sometimes I've been pleasantly surprised.

You mean you can't grab a couple of beers out of the fridge and hop into the truck with them?
