I usually check prices and buy from the company that has the overall lowest price. Not usually some here some there.

I said I have to compete with canola, durum and lentil growers around the world that buy for the lowest price. So I can't not check.

I have been dealing with an independent dealer for over 20 years, all I know is based on what other poster's post regarding Urea, K, and P prices, I have rarely seen a better price then what I pay delivered.

Always get great service as they have their own trucks, minimal freight charges.

      Loyalty works both ways.

On the fertilizer quote I got last Friday Ammonium Sulphate had gone up 24% since the first week in December, Urea had gone up 21% and potash had gone up 8%. 11-52 has gone up 2%. What could the common denominator be? A hint, the 11-52 comes from Simplot.

Don’t think there is a shortage of sulfur in western Canada

It’s the same b/s story every year about this time
Yet every year there is more and more on farm storage being filled in the fall .
not sure how much longer this “shortage” excuse can be used

I didn’t buy any N last year. If the price stays elevated I won’t this year. There are other options that are a lot cheaper and I’m not talking about Green lightn either

Hey you don't need to rely on Green Lightning any more! Now there's Firewater nitrogen fixing machines. Those ones will surely work. Oh wait, that's the same guy who was selling Green Lightning. No honor among thieves it seems. Maybe these ones won't need RO filters and power conditioners. LOL. Are these things already moved to crowbar hill on farms alongside the stainless pipes to put your exhaust into your air seeder fan and all those pigeon king cages? A fool and his money...
