I remember thinking the same thing in the 80s when CBC would interview the local guy in front if his swimming pool. Now flash forward.
Most farms moderate sized businesses. Mindfulness in the public eye still important.
Yet, no where in the video I saw gives any indication of where the speaker is, or what he's doing.
    Points to Kotylak.

Photo ops at factories always show guys with suits wearing clean crisp safety vests and shinney hard hats behind MPS not the grunts who worked 12 hour shifts keeping the place running.

Whenever I see pictures of European Farmers protesting, I can't help but notice it's always big late model tractors. Not 50 year old cabless beat up Renault.

Not the best way to get sympathy from Joe public who can only afford riding a moped or public transit.

As another poster recently and succinctly responded to a similar question about the same poster.

My point, but it was stated the interview lasted half an hour with lots of editing by CTV

I have a friend from farming country in California, retired but family still involved. Said they were required to turn their pre def tractor in and got a voucher for a new tractor. Only had to pay 5000 bucks to upgrade. Dealer was then required to crush the old tractor. Af5, maybe this is behind all the tractors in Europe being fairly new.

Any protest in Europe always seems to be good advertising for Fendt tractors. Think there was a credit for old tractors if you took them to salvage and punched a hole in the block of engine so not to be reused. Guy on u tube did that to nice JD4440 don't think that would go over well in the" I states".

That may be the explanation. Hadn't considered that.

They've definitely did not recycle all of the older tractors. Some of my European neighbors brought their favorite old tractors over when they immigrated.
When we toured around farm country in france, there were old tractors in many farm yards and we saw some in use.
