I always laugh when I hear the Scotia Bank tag line "You're richer than you think"

Sounds like an invitation to be completely irresponsible, wonder if they will accept that when a guy defaults on his mortgage.

We used to call the Bank of Nova Scotia, the Bank of screwy notions.

They crashed and burned a few times. Rode the big hog barns up and down.

The saying went if you owed the bank a thousand it was your problem, if you owed a million it was their problem.

Wonder who's problem it is if you owe $2 billion?

According to this post, apparently if someone owes the bank 2 billion dollars, it is agstars problem?

Not the Canadian banks, share prices of TD, BNS, BMO, CM, all hit record highes yesterday, while RY is only $4.00 dollars off.

And they just keep raising their dividend payments to share holders.

Not hard to figure out who payes for their losses.

Those $50 monthly fee's and everybody doing there own bank teller work after supper are covering a lot of risk.

Isn't it Robert Angelic? that's the guy the WP goes to for info and then they cover all the Monette news.

The average farmer suffering from the canola tariffs isn't news worthy.

Cards are the big money for banks.
Not only consumer use and charges, but every time you pay with a card the merchant pay 2 to 4%.
The bank makes money on both sides of most sales that used to be cash.
                      Cash sale they make nothing.
Must be where the auction outfits got the idea?
