P&H buying Grains Connect

I don't recall farmers ever complaining that graders were too generous...

Lots of ways a grader can lose money without giving something a generous grade.

I believe I've pointed out before that the less experience a grader has, the more likely they are to grade a grain higher than it is, so really, a farmer should want the least experienced grader they can get. Something the whiners don't seem to realize.

Less competition in Canada...will be interesting to see who is the next to fall.

P&H closed the Moose Jaw grain side. They have left a pretty big area to their competition to pick up.

2 of the 4 Grainsconnect elevators are within roughly half hour of existing ph elevators?

maymont is within about half hour of north battleford PH. And also Joffre ph is very close to the connect at Huxley

If it's like any other deal , that will be ignored. Viterra owned Moose Jaw, Eyebrow and GDT for years without issue or the competition bureau looking at it.

Eyebrow , a 10000 tonne concrete , was sold to an organic guy during this last Bunge thing but it had sat idle for years.

I have dealt with P& H in Moose Jaw , always good people there. Their unload sucked and so did their location but when it was built it was probably on the outskirts of Moose Jaw .

I asked if they were thinking of building something , no one knows. Hope they do, they have no presence in a large area.
